An ALL NUDE strip club to be called the SKIN CABARET is preparing to open soon at 3388 South Robertson, the former site of the Culver City Meat Company and an area densely populated with local businesses and quiet residential neighborhoods. The club will admit people as young as 18.
Growing concern about this sexually-explicit business and its operators and the negative impact it will have on the local community have produced a groundswell of opposition. More details can be found on elsewhere on the site, but here are three key reasons why residents and businesses oppose it:

Sexually-Explicit Business Close to Schools and Parks
A strip club has the potential to expose our children to drug sales, lewd conduct, prostitution, violence, loitering, and drunkenness. Moreover, many Hamilton High students will walk by the club on their way home from school every day.
Creates Serious Traffic Hazard
The area around the Robertson on-ramp to the 10 Freeway is already congested and confusing. The strip club’s additional traffic and distracting signage may pose a serious traffic and pedestrian hazard in the neighborhood.
Hurts Neighborhood Revitalization
The strip club would be huge setback for our community, which is already struggling to attract new business, control crime and maintain property values. (Download and read the LAPD report on the impact of strip clubs. (Caution: the report includes strong and graphic descriptions of adult behavior)
