And finally, check out our newest neighbors, courtesy of Fox 11 News.

What a shame that none of them were brave enough to stand up and introduce themselves to the enormous crowd who attended the hearing. Frankly, they didn’t do themselves any favors by leaving their PR up to Roger Jon Diamond.
Interestingly, out of the approximately 600+ people who attended the hearing, the one and only person who spoke in favor of the club can be seen sitting at the end of the row of owners (on the far right).
It’s true: sometimes pictures speak louder than words.

How disappointing that the reporter from Fox 11 news ended his report by saying that it’s still unlikely to defeat the permit. He noted that the police commission has only once before denied a permit, but this situation must be different. Let’s hope he’s wrong, and I was thrilled to see such a packed auditorium on Monday night.
I couldn’t believe the disgusting display that the “I came from this high school” - Roger Jon Diamond, the sell-out of his old neighborhood lawyer showed us. He is trying to be representing a good neighbor - well if that is the case, then treat us with some dignity and give these hearings the respect they should be given. I would have far more understanding for give and take if we end up having to put up with this representation of 1st amendment rights if the owners had the guts to show who they were. Then they are accountable and wouldn’t be ashamed of their activities.
If this was on Sunset near the PCH you would be certain Roger, from the Palisades, the God given protector of the non discretionaery 1st ammendment, would be out in full force with his Mandeville Canyon School T-shirt on saying “not in my area”!
Roger, the first time I saw you give a speech at the church you stated in your underdressed, messy haired way, that you are just a country guy doing a job, then but 15 minutes later you told us you grew up in this area. Hey, there, twister of words man, unless you grew up here 100 years ago this was a city and your definition of country bumpkin is really confusing. I think you need be a little more honest with us and treat us on-par with your country club pals.
By the way, you ask about the signage. You know darn well what we want, a small sign if that - grab a clue, tell your client to take this opportunity to go above and beyond to show his friendliness.
Also, nice choice of the auto body owner to represent the club position. His dialogue was perfectly painful to listen to – Is the owner paying him to use his lot for parking cars and what about those free lunches and lap dances… I will tell many more people what the auto body shop owner stands for against the community. Any decent person would not support this so close to a high school and homes.
My position would be much less agitated if: A) Roger would be respectful B) The owner hauled his butt up there and had been truthful to us.
Although Fox seems to side with business, I hope we can have the luck to see this go away and if not, some very strict guidelines to follow.
Hey Roger – how would you like to find used condoms on your lawn?
Be kind.
Be respectful and take off the clown outfit.
I used to live not too far from the area in question. I’m a former stripper who used to work at a club in Hollywood. I was impressed to find this website and I give the efforts by the community against this strip club my fullest support. Strip clubs most definitely cause an increase in crime in their surrounding neighborhoods - drug trafficking, prostitution, violence, murder. This is all well documented. Shyster Dimond is hliarious in his dishonesty. I witnessed plenty of crime firsthand when I was a stripper, day and night. Please refer to my website www.savedfromstripclubs.org for my testimony and why I believe strip clubs should be outlawed. I will keep your efforts in my prayers.
