If you’ve driven by the club lately, you’ve probably noticed that they recently put up flimsy temporary signs.
On the basis of flimsy temporary permits, today Skin opened its doors to the public.
Again this demonstrates the club’s complete disregard for its neighbors. The club owners have opened without meeting with the community to discuss their concerns and have chosen instead to speak through Roger Jon Diamond, a lawyer who has made a cottage industry of representing strip clubs.
The club’s opening underscores the importance of the Police Permit Review Panel meeting on January 28th. It is your chance to be heard before the final operating permit is approved.

Obituary - - For many residents, a piece of the South Robertson neighborhood died on December 11, 2007 when SKIN opened for business. Once I learned the strip club opened their doors, I felt differently about my neighborhood that I grew up in. It was though South Robertson suddenly took ill, and no one had the power to make it well. I pray the LAPD hearing will be well-attended and something miraculous comes along to make this club leave South Robertson. It just doesn’t belong there, and no one in the community wants it there. I am sad.
A piece of south robertson died,.. the piece that had Meat trucks blocking parking all up and down the street… the smelly meat factory is gone and a new painted building is up.
I am sad that no one pays attention to the homeless people, drug problems, and gangs…
Get your priorities straight.
I have to say that as a parent I would NEVER let my child walk down South Robertson to get to school. Not because of the businesses on that street but because of the traffic alone. I have seen the cars that whip around the corner and heard the many impatient horns that honk. It is not a safe street for any child to be walking down and as a parent YOU should be worried about the fact that you child could be hit by a car much easier than getting into Skin.
Honestly I think that the 500+ parents and the news media are drawing way more attention to this. Now because of YOUR actions many more 18 years know about the club than would have if this was just kept quiet. So to that I say Thank You.
